Let's go!

There are two active groups in the village that make our enjoyment of this flora and fauna possible, these are the Open Spaces Group and Team D.

Apart from the wildflowers, these groups are responsible for maintaining Millenium Wood and the “Witchford Walks” around the village, as well as other projects as they arise.  The Open Spaces Group meets once a month on a Sunday morning to carry out various work around the village.  Some projects that the group has been involved in are mowing Millenium Wood meadow and planting trees in Fairchild’s Wood. These groups aside, there are also a number of avid volunteers who are involved in tree planting on parish owned land and coordinating with East Cambridgeshire District Council, to plant trees on E.C.D.C. owned land.

Maps of the “Witchford Walks” can be found on the Parish Council website, or accessed via the button below.

When out and about, please respect the countryside.  The plants and animals are there for everyone to enjoy.

If you are interested in getting involved in these groups, please make contact via the Parish Clerk.
